I started to do this for a contest is holding: [link] , but I'm just not feeling like it's conveying what I wanted or that it's quite right for the contest anyway.
At least I got to play around with some different shadows and photo-editing techniques.
Sorry to hear you're not going to finish this; I actually think it's off to a very interesting start. I particularly like your use of high-angle perspective here, it really gives us a nice sweeping sense of the scene. Likewise, the composition, with Sonic 'n' Sally encircled by screens, works very nicely and builds up a good sense of tension. And, most important, I love the emotional interaction going on at the center of all this; the way in which Sonic and Sally are looking around them with anxiety, but holding on to each other for support. It's very well done.
Thanks! I don't really know what happened with this picture...I was working on it and then just lost all interest and energy for it. Inking-wise, it's almost done, but...I just can't be bothered. Kinda weird. I'm hoping maybe if I put it aside for a while I'll feel like working on it another time, but I don't know. Also, their faces look off to me, but I can't explain why. I redrew Sonic's eyes so many times the paper is messed up from erasing, and yet nothing looked right.
Mm...I can understand your concerns, especially given the stress lines we're already seeing along Sal's brow. A bit of time away to revisit the pic later might do it, and you, some good. ^_^
A shame this didn't get finished.
