Bedroom Renovation

Description

House is from 1903. My parents and I finally renovated our guest bedroom over the summer. Started out half-painted-beige-over-wallpaper/half bare sheet rock, peeling painted floor, some of the original molding missing from around the windows. We plastered/taped the walls, caulked, put up new molding, painted. Sewed the long pillow on the bed. Glued felt on the chair feet. Got the floor refinished.

Details:
Base cap molding over a round base molding to get close to the contour of the original (matched to door and windows in other rooms)
Light blue walls, eggshell. Paint I think Valspar? Should have been grayer-blue, but I wasn't there when parents bought the paint.
Bead-board ceiling, slightly darker shade than the walls, semigloss (hate to paint it, but it had already been painted once, over shellac, so good luck getting that off)
Bright white molding, gloss (should have been off-white like the rest of the house, but again, parents)
Heart pine floor
1921 brass 3/4 size bed
old chenille bedspread (don't look too close, there's holes)
1920s(?) oak lawyer's chair, I think original to the house
sheepskin hide throws
refinished 1930s/40s drop-leaf table, (was peeling olive green when we got it)
old trunk
old rocking chair
marble-top wood table
glass lamp that we rescued from our neighbors' trash
Space-themed prints and related, Star Trek: TNG clock
Dad's old hardhats
cat doorstop that confuses the actual cats
not quite visible: dragon-shaped cigar ash tray stand

The wall unit, fireplace, rug, and top curtains we bought specifically for the room. Everything else we had. We have too much furniture.

Beautiful floors. Nice work!
